CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The Christian E ucation committee serves the church by offering classes of all ages, providing teachers and aides, and encouraging participation of all members to act as mentors and volunteers when called upon. The need is always great for church members of every age to assume positions of responsibility, offering their years of experience to the education of not just the children, but to each other.
Children and adults begin their Sunday worship together at 10 a.m. Early in the service the children come forward for a "Children's Moment" with the pastor and then leave for their classes.
The children return to the sanctuary to sit with their families when we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We celebrate the sacrament with grape juice. Parents may offer the bread and cup to their children. Others prefer to delay that unitl other Conformation Grapes are distributred to include these children in our worship. |
